The Training and Development Director I (Quality Coach) functions as a part of the South Carolina Child Care & Resource Referral team of statewide Training & Development Directors (Quality Coaches) that provides technical assistance to parents, early childhood programs, and community partners as it relates to all the core components of the Department of Social Services, Division of Early Care and Education grant requirements.

The Parent Referral Specialist provides oversight and management of the collection of information on child care programs to provide child care referrals and resources to families contacting SC Child Care Resource & Referral (SC CCR&R) via the website or phone. This position will serve as the point person to work with parents, families, and the community through consultations, email correspondence, training, conferences, community events, etc. to provide information on SC CCR&R services, child care options, indicators of quality, and related resources. For this position, the selected applicant must obtain approval from SC Endeavors as a South Carolina Certified Trainer in Professional Development or Program Administration or become certified as a Specialized Trainer within 12 months of employment.
